Tanooki Mario

So, this article caught my attention today. Apparently PETA members are upset with Mario cuz they think he watched "The Silence of the Lambs" too many times, skinned a tanuki, and wore the fur as a full-body suit. I've seen that costume at the furry store, and let me tell you...it's totally synthetic. Either way, it appears tanukis are dealing with the drama perfectly well:
