Back in March, I was contacted by Sixpoint Harness Studios to direct and storyboard a commercial of my favorite show "Chowder" This was part of Cartoon Network's Get Animated campaign. I got on the conference call and they mentioned head bangs, ripped sleeves, sparks, flame, Angus Young, and I was thinking this will be a fun ride.

Tony figured out how to do the texture thingy so we get the same look from the actual show. I was so excited that we were able to do this entirely in Flash and After Effects. Go Flash!

This is Lila and her really long long cat. She found him on the street one night and decided to adopt him. The cat loves eating tuna melt sandwich and taking a long walk on the beach.

I'm allergic to cats but luckily cat drawings don't make me sneeze:)

Ded Babiez

Do you think you have what it takes to join the Ded Babiez Skate Gang?!

Requirements:
1) You need to own a skateboard!
2) You need to have mad skating skillzzzz!!!
3) You need to have killed a baby!

Ok...ok...we can probably let #3 slide...and come to think of it, #2's not that important either.

So what's up with this skate gang? Basically, we had a quarter-life crisis and bought skateboards a few months ago. Former co-worker (and skateboard owner), Arlyne, decided to take it one step further, naming us the "Ded Babiez." So beware (especially you babies), cuz we're out on the streets and we're outta control!

Penning SoCal

For the past month or so, Fawn and I acted as Southern California Tour Guides. All of our guests decided to visit us in May this year. We drove them to the usual spots like Venice Beach and the Santa Monica Pier. We stopped by Hollywood & Highland when Pixar was having their premier party for "Up." We spent one day at the Getty Villa and another at Sea World in San Diego. We took a trip to Santa Barbara and attended a street painting festival at the Santa Barbara Mission. We packed so much touristy traveling into one month that I think I'm gonna stay home for the rest of the year. (Maybe I'll make an exception for Comic Con next month!)

Anyway...since I spent so much time in public, I took the opportunity to do pages and pages of observational drawings. Here are a few...

Magnolia and Victory Blvd.

I love our little drive from Burbank back to Studio city on Magnolia Blvd, especially in the evening. The clouds gets all pretty with magenta and orange.

Have you guys seen Up? I cried about 5 times through out the movie. I don't think I can handle watching that movie again.
