Kyoto sketches

I never got around to posting more sketches from Japan. Here are a few...

Our room in Kyoto was on the fourth floor of a private residence. The owner had a small coffee shop on the 2nd level that didn't get much business, but the atmosphere was great for relaxing after a long day of walking. Fawn, focused on things to do in Kyoto, sat still long enough for me to capture a good likeness.

We saw lots of stairs. We climbed lots of stairs. This is a stone set around one of the temples in Kyoto.

Hopping through the Woods

I usually go for bright colors in everything, but today I've got the urge to paint something with weird colors. The girl's smile is totally creepy. She probably sees the rainbow on the other side of this depressing forest.

And oh yeah, I'm about 30 minutes away from not be able to say "Happy Birthday Charles Darwin!"

Bringing back the 80's

We're having another costume day coming up at work. This time is the 80's theme. Our last theme was "red pants day" and two people showed up wearing maroon pants...Hopefully we'll all do a little better this Friday.
